Model Renders and Example Character Sheet

300 polys exactly - this model took far longer to texture than too model so for my high poly model im going to need alot of time. This is the character sheet hand in however i may change the name of the robot and also see what I can do with CrazyBump

Remade Model Textures and Colour Plan

Remade Model and Texture Ideas - I remade the model to make it cleaner and here is the results, tomorrow i will unwrap it and begin the tedious texturing process

Low Poly testing

Low Poly testers - The top left was modeled round the idea i stated in the previous blog, the segmented cat shape however with an outcome of 559 Polys i couldn't possibly take this idea further,

I then tried to model my favorite idea from the sketches (TOP RIGHT) but that went over 300 without the head or front legs..

I then played around with different ideas for the day and decided to combine the back legs and make then into a wheel.. it saved on polys and if textured right could be effective, the next step is the model this again to try and make it a cleaner model

Development sketches - Low Poly

Development into Low Poly model - These Sketches are segmented ideas for the final model however i will not no just how much i can stretch the poly count until I start the modelling process

My chosen idea from these sketches is the middle left but Im going to try and model the bottom left first as it is in three sections which will give me an idea for the poly limit

Robokat (name pending) concepts

First Concepts for low poly robokat model.. quality is poor due to not having a scanner how ever from these I am now going to try and model the bottom left one, so i can get a feel for how much i can make with the poly count as most of these concepts seem too detailed

Turn around linework

This is the finished turn around for my high poly model, before I colour this I want to first get the turn around for the low poly model done first as time is running short already..
